Update

Mom has neither gotten nor left for home yet. She hit on a little snag called Gail. Apparently Gail decided that there was no reason for her to go home and planned on (loudly) convincing/ bullying everyone into letting her stay. She spent an hour and a half crying, arguing, and justifying her actions to Aunt Mary.

When she (finally) realized that that wouldn't work she arranged to have her son come with his truck today to help her move. She was originally suppose to be out by Sunday then she decided to stay at her son's for an extra day, and now she "conveniently" didn't arrange for anything to move all the copious junk that she bought and stuffed in Grammie's house.

Can you tell that I'm a little peeved about this?

Please remember that I'm hearing everything second hand at this point and then interpreting it. Hopefully when Mom does get back on Wednesday or Thursday she will write up everything herself and you'll know that you have an accurate first person narrative. Well, as accurate as first person narratives can be.

Oh my! Life does get interesting. Eagerly awaiting your mom's return and full report. BUT, if you hear anything between now and then don't hesitate to share it.

Tuesday afternoon, 4pm
Beth and I are in the town library which has COMPUTERS WITH BROADBAND A|INTERNET ACCESS!!!!!

Oh, happy day!!!

That helps to make up for the fact that I AM STILL HERE and Gail's stuff is STILL IN GRAMMIE'S HOUSE! Progress has been made, however, as she has finally resigned herself to the inevitable (helped along no doubt by the fact that we just keep hanging around underfoot and DON'T just quietly GO AWAY) and has finally been packing her mountains of stuff--clothing, books, odds and ends and huge quantities of weird organic vegan food substances.

Mossflower is writing an update on the computer beside me so I will leave you with the note that we have Linda's assurance that she will come over after supper this evening to help us remove Gail's belongings from the room and get it cleaned enough that Beth can (gasp!) actually move in tonight...which means I should be able to start for home tomorrow...once she's in and we're sure her computer WILL connect to the dial-up service that dad so kindly signed her up for.
